This Sunday we celebrate the Ascension of Jesus into heaven, 40 days after his resurrection. We confess, “He ascended into heaven, and was seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.” From his throne at God’s right hand, our Lord pours out his power upon the church, his body.
