Why this Waste?

TODAY we are going to begin a series of sermons for the 6 week period known as Lent. These six weeks lead us to the cross where Jesus died, and ultimately to an empty tomb and Risen savior. Each week we will look at a question asked of Jesus or by Jesus. Today as a woman breaks and pours an entire bottle of expensive perfume over Jesus, some of Jesus' followers question this act of love. They ask, "Why this waste?" Is this a waste? Is being a Christian a waste? Was Jesus death a waste?
