Description

Today is World Communion Sunday, when we celebrate our union with the church of Christ around the world. It is also All Nations Heritage Sunday, when we celebrate the ways that the Lord is brining together a community of every tribe, tongue, people, and nation in our own denomination of the Christian Reformed Church. But how do we celebrate our unity and our communion in the Lord when so much of the world is at war? Pastor John will preach from Jeremiah’s lament over Jerusalem to
show us how lament is a spiritual tool God gives us not only to express our own sorrow but also to give us solidarity, compassion, and deeper communion with the oppressed and persecuted people of the world.
