The Baptism of the Beloved

This morning we welcome Rev Amanda Bakale and Rev Brian Bork to lead us in worship. Pastors Amanda and Brian work as a ministry couple in Kitchener, Ontario. Amanda serves as pastor at Community Christian Reformed Church and Brian works for Classis Huron as a campus chaplain at the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University. Today Brian will be preaching on the baptism of Jesus from the Gospel of Mark, exploring the beauty of this sacrament and the promise of God on which it is founded.

Today we celebrate with Pastor John and Ashley Medendorp as they present their son, Milo Lewis Medendorp, for baptism.

During the church family time this morning we will be installing elders and deacons for terms of service. To the office of elder: Scott Meyers; to the office of deacon: Diane Adema, Chris Martin, and Jeremy Meyers. Thanks be to God for providing faithful leaders for our church!
